Terms & Conditions

These terms cover your use of theaccidentalhr.net and anything you buy here. The site is run by The Accidental HR, LLC, an Idaho limited liability company. By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.

 

1. Not legal advice

Everything we provide is general information to help you manage people more confidently. That includes our templates, checklists, courses, the Policy Builder, blog posts, Q&A calls, and replies to inquiries. None of it is legal advice.

Using our site or products does not create an attorney-client, consulting, or other professional relationship. A consulting relationship only exists under a separate written agreement. Employment law varies by state and situation, so have an employment attorney or qualified HR professional review any policy or decision before you act on it.

 

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Please give us accurate information, and let us know right away if you think someone else is using your account.

 

3. Digital products and license

When you buy a template or toolkit, you get a license to use it for one business. You may edit it, add your branding, and use it inside your own organization.

You may not resell, redistribute, share it outside your organization, or include it in a competing template product.

 

4. Refunds

Our files are delivered instantly, so all sales are final once a file has been downloaded. If a file won't open, or you received the wrong document, email support@theaccidentalhr.com and we'll make it right.

Paid courses are also final once you've accessed the course content.

 

5. Memberships and recurring billing

  • Memberships (The Essentials and The HR Corner) renew automatically each month on your signup date until you cancel.

  • You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing support@theaccidentalhr.com. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

  • We don't give refunds for partial months.

  • If we change membership prices, we'll email current members at least 30 days before the new price applies.

  • Member discounts and benefits are available only while your membership is active.

 

6. Courses, calls, and community

Course content is for your personal use and can't be shared or recorded for distribution. Live Q&A sessions are for group learning and may be recorded for members.

In the community and on calls, be respectful. Don't post anything unlawful, harassing, or confidential, and don't share identifying details about your employees. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

 

7. Our content

The site and all of its content belong to The Accidental HR, LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. This includes text, templates, courses, graphics, the logo, and The Accidental HR Manager book. Apart from the license in Section 3, you may not copy or reuse it without written permission.

 

8. Other sites and services

We link to outside sites like Amazon and social media platforms, and we use outside services for payments and hosting. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.

 

9. Disclaimer

The site and all products are provided "as is." We work hard to keep our content accurate and current. However, laws change, and we don't guarantee that any content is complete, current, or right for your specific situation.

 

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Accidental HR, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. That includes lost profits or claims brought against your business.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

 

11. Your responsibility

You agree to cover any claims against The Accidental HR, LLC that result from how you use our products in your business, or from your breaking these terms.

 

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Idaho law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Bonneville County, Idaho.

 

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post changes here with a new effective date. If you keep using the site after an update, that means you accept the new terms.
